David Sloan

David Sloan is a Project Manager at Discern Health. He conducts research and content development for client deliverables. Dave provides qualitative and quantitative analyses of client data sets and develops presentations, reports, and visual analytics. His recent work includes developing and maintaining performance measure dashboards for the Ohio Aging Services Network (OASN). Dave also worked with the Leapfrog Value-Based Purchasing Platform to redesign its hospital dashboards. In addition, he managed the development on quality strategies for multiple pharmaceutical organizations.

Prior to joining Discern Health, Dave worked as a Research Fellow in the office of Congressman David McKinley, WV 1st District, where he analyzed the impact of the Affordable Care Act on West Virginia. He also worked for the National Science Communication Institute where he led a team that analyzed how scientists communicate. Prior to those roles, Dave served as a Postdoctoral fellow at West Virginia University, carrying out intensive research in auditory neuroscience.
