Erik Muther

Erik Muther is a Vice President at Discern Health. Erik joined Discern Health from the Pennsylvania Health Care Quality Alliance (PHCQA), where he served as the managing director. Erik was the founding executive director of PHCQA before it merged with Health Care Improvement Foundation (HCIF) in 2015. He has over 23 years of health care experience, leading a wide range of quality measurement, process improvement, data analytics, and strategy development programs. He specializes in managing multi-stakeholder initiatives to align health care metrics, incentives, outcomes and payment methodologies.

Prior to his work at HCIF and PHCQA, Erik spent 12 years in the health care practice of Accenture, a large global consulting company.

At Discern, Erik works with the partners and senior staff to lead and develop initiatives that add value to the industry, improve the quality and affordability of care, set strategic direction for clients in a value-based environment.
