Palak Patel is a Project Analyst at Discern Health. She currently supports projects related to quality payment programs, the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) and Advanced Alternative Payment Models (Advanced APMs). Much of her work also focuses on quality development within the post-acute care sector.
Prior to joining Discern, Palak contributed to administrative management and operations within the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. The core focus of her work at JHCC involved financial analysis, quality improvement, and hospital operations. While completing her MHA degree, she also assisted in developing a recruitment strategy for Community Services Group, an organization focused on providing community-based services for intellectual and developmental disability (IDD) and mental health in Central and Northeastern Pennsylvania. Previously, Palak collaborated with a multidisciplinary team to conduct research on improving the treatment process for patients with clinical depression.
