Alexis Malfesi is a Project Manager at Discern Health. Alexis works with clients to develop business strategies to position them for success in value-based environments and assesses the quality and performance measure landscape to identify gaps and areas for growth. Most recently, she was a consultant at the Lewin Group where she led the development and ongoing maintenance of clinical quality measures used in outpatient hospital settings.
She also collaborated with clinicians, administrators, and patients and caregivers to design and implement a national practice transformation program aimed at supporting clinicians in entering advanced payment models (APMs). Previously, she was a Public Health Analyst at NORC where she informed strategic communications planning for the rollout of star ratings on the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services suite of Compare tools. Alexis received her MSHS in Health Care Quality from George Washington University and her BA in Anthropology at the University of Maryland.
